49 Medals — 17 Golds, 16 Silvers, 16 Bronzes at Logan Interschool Chess

Queensland Chess School students won an outstanding 49 medals out of 60 and 27 ribbons at the Logan Inter-School Chess Competition on June 1, 2026 — representing 11 of the 12 medal-winning teams.

Queensland Chess School is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our students at the Logan Inter-School Chess Competition held on June 1, 2026. The tournament attracted 75 teams from both public and private schools across the Logan region. Among the 60 medals awarded throughout the event, our students earned an impressive 49 medals, including both team and individual awards, along with 27 ribbons for outstanding performances.

This outstanding result reflects the dedication of our students, the commitment of our coaching team, and the strong support from our families.

Following a post-event review, official results were updated and Sunnybank Hills State School Team 1 was confirmed as the third-place team. Our Division A players demonstrated excellent teamwork, concentration, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
